I find that all living rooms, no matter what the style benefit from at least one cosy blanket. Whether it be casually draped over the back of a couch, or precisely folded over the arm of a chair it does a room much good. As such, that is precisely what I have decided to give for gifts this year.

No, I did not venture to make them myself, and toil over a pair of knitting needles for months on end, but I did put great thought and care into the selection of each.

As I am very familiar with the varying taste of my recipients, I set out to find each a blanket that they will be mighty proud to display. This I find most satisfying not so much because I will have pleased those I have given to, but because I know there will always be a blankie handy when I visit.

If this seems a tad selfish, well maybe it is, but just a tad. Because I was not stingy on any of the purchases, and while I might benefit physically every so often, each home that these blankets go to will profit visually all year long.
